The concept of CAJU by Joseph Hadad brasserie is casual dining with affordable tasty dishes, which can pamper all your senses.

It’s the place where Joseph brings to table the tastes of his childhood, with strong North African influences.

The brasserie is located downtown, on a picturesque street (Nicolae Golescu 16), behind the Romanian Athenaeum, a symbol that represents one of the main attractions of the city.

The cozy place, features a very original and urban design and provides three areas of accommodation and a very beautiful terrace. At the interior, the central and back areas can host up to 50 guests. The whole space is dominated by a curved wooden ceiling, each table featuring a chandelier above, made of a mix of ceramic and metal.

At the entrance, in the area of the open kitchen, were we lively cook the moroccan bread, a social table was designed for all those who need a separate space, or enjoy connecting with other people or maybe fall in love with strangers.

At the basement, a very cozy and intimate wine library and private table can host special dinners or small parties, for up to 8 persons.

It's always a pleasure to come back here. I think the location is just perfect, on one of the most beautiful streets of Bucharest (and one of my favourites). Not so long ago they extended the terrace and the restaurant, the food is very good, fresh and tasty, the service is also quite good, but of course it depends. I would give 5 ⭐️ + for Damian, who took care of us, the other day when we were there, he was very nice, focused on our requests, respectful and charismatic in a friendly way, but I was also served, in the past, by waiters who were not so professional or willing to be hospitable. ( so that's why I gave 4 stars for the service).

Amazing restaurant in the heart of Bucharest. Somehow it is a unique combination of atmosphere, food and service. It is a very high-class restaurant without bragging about it. It is an all-around experience with the food in the centre of it. Most times Joseph Hadad is there, which makes a great impression about his level of dedication. I very much recommend the restaurant to everyone in Bucharest, it is definitely a must try.

Interesting culinary experience. The food has a sophisticated touch and was really good and tasty. There are a lot of waitresses around which were very careful with our requests and needs.

The restaurant was very pleasant. Service was good. The food was excellent mainly the starter 'traditional mix Jerusalem ' with chicken liver pieces. For main the sea bream and the salmon were nice

Very, very slow service - 2h20m for an appetizer / main course / desert - pretty sure they even forgot about the desert - when the location was not 50% full. At the end the waitress even pointed us that the standard tip was 10% (we left about 6%, and that was too much anyway) when the customers are content with the service. Unacceptable nastiness. We’ll stick with Mace when it comes to eating from Mr. Haddad. The food was good, but nothing out of particular. The creme brulee presentation was disappointing even.
